THE POWER OF THREE WORKSHOP
In the midst of my studies, I had to pleasure to assist a workshop animated by Tomi Vaullauschek, designer, creative director and cofounder of the studio fl@33. The aim of the workshop was to help students find their inner voice and put more emotions into their work as graphic designers and visual communicators. We were made to create a piece by using the power of three: hands, heart and head. The final piece I presented was a 1 minute video using mixed media titled "Homesick". By using old analog pictures I keep of my family (including the ones in my Nostalgia project), the project was elaborated with a mix of techniques, colors and supports. I got my hands dirty trying to bring to life the pictures and represent the emotions each one of them evoke me. This project comes at a time of my life when I am full of doubts and fears on whether I should continue my journey far from family or give up and come home.
